From the Desk of President Jasmine Young
Excelsior Family and Friends,
In this defining moment, our hearts are turned toward the island we love — Jamaica. The devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa has touched countless lives, including those within our own Excelsior family. Yet, as true Excelsorians, we rise. Our mission has always been clear: to support our alma mater, invest in the next generation, and stand together in service to others.
Through our “Help Jamaica Heal” initiative, we are rallying to help rebuild schools and restore hope in communities that have been deeply affected. But our vision goes beyond recovery. We are building for the future — strengthening Excelsior High School, expanding our outreach, and continuing the legacy of excellence, resilience, and compassion that defines who we are.
I invite each of you, near and far, to join hands with us. Whether through donations, volunteerism, or simply spreading the word, your contribution makes a difference. Together, we will help Jamaica heal, one act of kindness at a time.
Let us keep climbing “Yet Higher.”
Sincerely,
Jasmine Gray-Young, President
