The physical plant at Excelsior High School emerged largely unscathed from the ravages of Hurricane Melissa, Principal Mr. Denroy Bromfield reported.
After touring the school campus yesterday, in the aftermath of the Category 5 hurricane, Mr. Bromfield said preliminary indication is that there has been no structural damage to any of the buildings.
As the clean-up effort continues apace, in the wake of the hurricane, the principal is happy to report that the school mostly remains intact, except for some minor flooding of a few classrooms and debris and leaves littering the courtyard.
With the school suffering only cosmetic damages, the principal is optimistic that the school will reopen for in-person classes as scheduled, on Monday November 3, 2025.
