As Jamaica braces for the expected catastrophic impact of Hurricane Melissa, Excelsiorian Evan Thompson( XLCR ’80) is taking centre stage, amid the impending calamity, as a still point of calm, competence, and clarity.
Throughout the ordeal, as the hurricane barrels toward the island, the Principal Director of the Meteorological Services(Met Office) continues to provide timely and informative updates that serve to reassure and enlighten Jamaicans at home and abroad.
Alumni throughout the diaspora and at home are brimming with pride as the immediate past president of the Excelsior Past Students Association is helping to choreograph Jamaica’s response to the ongoing threat of Hurricane Melissa with timely and informative updates.
We salute Evan Thompson – another Soaring Eagle.
